Helsinki Civil Assembly is interested in uddin question (November 2000)

On October 29, by invitation of organizers of 5th Assembly /Helsinki Civil Assembly/, which was held these days in Baku, representative of "The Caucasus Albanian Research Center" historian Zurab Kananchev introduced a report on uddin subject in this meeting in section of "Small Nations''.

In his speech Z.Kananchev acquainted participants of assembly with history and culture of uddins direct descendants of ancient Albanians and illegitimate decision of Russian government from 1836 about liquidation of independent Albanian church. During his speech he paid attention to the necessity of Albanian church's temples reconstruction, rebirth of Albanian auto grey mullet, realization of actions, directed to publish literature (including religious character - Bible) and leaching aids in uddin language for local citizens, printing of uddin folk-lore's collection. Speech of Z.Kananchev in such important meeting. as 5th Assembly /Helsinki Civil Assembly/, in work where participated about 700 delegates from different countries, testifies that for the last lime in republic and behind its borders it attracts great attention on question of study and reconstruction of culture, on one of the most ancient citizens of Azerbaijan and the whole Caucasus - uddins.
